Young Embroiderers

The Young Embroiderers had a Christmas theme for their December meeting and made these wonderful Christmas tree, angel  and reindeer decorations with Mrs. Burgess.

November Meeting

Charlotte Shafto lead the workshop for the November meeting which produced some beautiful work in the 'Mini Log Cabin' technique.

Cas Holmes Workshop

Here are pictures of some of the work inspired by Cas Holmes.  A very enjoyable day was had by all with a great deal of chat and expletives!

Cas was very enthusiastic and let us into her many secrets.  We will once again be on the lookout for more interesting scraps to add to the ones already waiting to be used.

YE Silk Painting Workshop

The meeting on 11th October was well attended and produced some fantastic work.  All the pieces were very vibrant and different from each other.  Here are just two close-up examples.

Hardanger and Canvas Work

The September meeting was led by Stella and Helen and for some it was an opportunity to try their hand at a new technique, it was really nice to welcome some new members.

Royal show

There was a wonderful display of work which created a lot of interest.

Charity Day

A most enjoyable day was held in July which not only included lots of stitching and chatting  but also raised the magnificent sum of £320 for the Stroke Foundation.  Various projects were undertaken including making scissor holders, beading and finishing projects for display at the Royal Show.

At their last meeting the Young Embroiderers made these colourful caterpillars from felt balls ... wow!

Golden Hinde Workshop

Thanks to Jean for sending in the wonderful example of a completed piece of work from the Golden Hinde workshop .. with ambitions to complete another one to make a pair!

Not a Crinoline Lady

The members of the Embroiderers Guild put their talents into creating these fantastic 'ladies' at a recent workshop led by Liz.  It was a fun and relaxing day with lots of shared fabric and ideas resulting in many  different pieces of work.
