The members of the Liverpool Branch of the Embroiders Guild gave us a very warm welcome when eight members visited in May. First stop was a visit to Abacan for some retail therapy of the best kind, we then visited the 'The Liverpool 08 Tapestry' which is now on display at St. George's Hall. This was a community art project which included people of all ages and abilities and represents the people, places and passions of Liverpool.
We then attended the Liverpool Branch of the Embroiderers Guild afternoon tea party which was held at the Unitarian Church in Ullet Road, there were various competitions, stalls and a Y.E. project. All in all we had a great day out and our thanks must go to the Liverpool Branch for their wonderful hospitality which we hope to repay one day.
